SPIRITWIND - About the Band
Spiritwind was born from a shared love for God, music and motorcycles. The group was first brought together as members of the Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA) in 2003. Dale and Chris Hall introduced Jim and Sonnie Stewart to Ron and Dee Kugler. Little did we know that a living room jam session of praise and worship would give birth to the ministry that Spiritwind has become. Dale Kugler joined the Spiritwind family in August of 2004. Dale is an annointed songwriter and multi-instrument musician. Mike Blackhall and wife Patty came on board in 2005. Mike a very talented drummer / percusionist recorded with us on our "We Shall Not Be Defeated " CD . The diverse musical backgrounds of the members combines gospel, country, folk, rock and blues. Drawing from these musical roots, the unique sound of Spiritwind is a mixture of styles and forms ranging from Classic hymns and contemporary Christian to our own inspirational original songs. "Are You Ready " our first CD was released in June of 2004 and " We Shall Not Be Defeated " in April of 2006. Our third CD entitled "Arise" was released Febuary 25th of 09 and we are very blessed and thankful to share the music and messages in the songs with all of you. We are back in the studio working on CD #4 entitled "When I Call Your Name" with a target release of November 2011 and CD #5 that will be entitled "SIEZE THE LAND" with a target release of Feb. 2012.
